Rail Cats Upend Lakers, 7-4
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Edoras Rail Cats and Romenna Lakers.
Zelalem Guelen was superb against Romenna. The right-hander had a changeup that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Rail Cats victory. The score was 7-4. Guelen yielded 4 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 10. His record improves to 3-1. Drigrin Kendrick closed it out for Edoras, earning his 8th save.
Ellerry Muraoka helped out the Edoras cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Edoras manager Gollaiborn Elvywyn.
The Rail Cats, at 29-23, lead by one game in their division.
