Tight Tilt Goes to Kings, 2-1
|
Numenor pitcher Pippo McCrudden had a large part in his team subduing the Ravenhill Darkwings, 2-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. McCrudden picked up the win for Numenor, going 5 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Agron Kingmaker earned the save for Numenor, his 3rd of the year.
David Millstone, who is a four-time All-Star, had a direct impact on the outcome. Millstone contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Numenor up, 2-1.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Ravenhill manager Rark the Sly, "let me know."
The Darkwings, now 6-10, continue their poor start.
