Extra-Inning Win by Fairies Over Bears
Bucklebury and Carrock took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

Carrock got a valiant performance from pitcher Truzguh the Malicious, but it wasn't enough to beat the Bucklebury Fairies. Bucklebury won the game, 6-5. the Malicious threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Filibert Brockhouse, now 3-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings.

Bucklebury used the timely hitting of Belstram Arwima to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Fairies on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Sancho Hardbottle.

With the win over Carrock, the Fairies improved to 71-90.
