The rain came, as predicted, but the Rivendell Royals and Minas Tirith Titans were able to complete their ballgame.
Kamer Evensta was a vital contributor to the 5-3 Rivendell victory over Minas Tirith. The Royals center fielder was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. Snugzog Deathskull, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save.
Rivendell catcher Malgath Elriden contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 13th hit of the season and put the Royals ahead, 4-3.
"We ground out the win," said Elriden. "That's all that matters."
The win gives Rivendell a record of 15-10.
