The Lothlorien Lumberjacks overcame a pretty good performance by Dol Guldur shortstop Garbhaka Yorba, beating the Dragons, 5-3, at Celebrant Field. Yorba went 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win belonged to Carl Mulhall in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Kesil Czempa took the loss for Dol Guldur. Drubmag Hammerscarer nailed down his 2nd save.

The Lumberjacks got a big at-bat from center fielder Irhaal Fithraldor. For the game, Fithraldor went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Lothlorien a 4-1 lead.

"I like our moxie," said Lumberjacks manager Sir Boom.

The third-place Dragons have dropped 4 straight games.
