Slumping Sylvan Lose 7th Straight

The Lake Town Archers got a magnificent effort from pitcher Jhaumrithe Githrarith, who kept Mirkwood hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Archers win at Woodland Field. Lake Town reliever Kogduh Facedragger picked up the win to move to 3-1. Alaric Bramblebush suffered the loss. Li-cong Mickens closed it out for his 12th save.
Briffo Wisebattler came through with a big-time hit for Lake Town. The first baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"No one likes losing," said Mirkwood manager Tavmina Eemli. "But we'll turn this thing around."
This loss makes it 7 in a row for Mirkwood.
