Sandcrawlers Beat Visiting Time Lords, 7-4
|
The Tatooine Sandcrawlers picked up a win at Jabba the Hut Stadium, taking down the Gallifrey Time Lords, 7-4. Starting pitcher Amanda Black was a big reason why. Black picked up the win for Tatooine, going 6 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 4-3. The Sandcrawlers saw their win-loss record go to 36-22. At the same time, the Time Lords fell to 24-34.
Ruzdreg Bonedragger had a big 3-run home run for the Sandcrawlers in the bottom of the first inning. With Tatooine leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a slider from Elaethan Fil-Gar, who is tied for 3rd in the SL in complete games with 1, and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 8th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sandcrawlers ahead, 4-0.
"We took home the win," said Bonedragger. "What's not to like?"
