The Bree Cheese got a sterling performance from pitcher Marçal Ivatt, but the Grey Havens Stars still prevailed, 5-2. Ivatt threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. The Stars, now 30-33, have won 4 in a row.

Bywater, Hobbit Lands-born Irene Knotwise came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the seventh, with the bases loaded and the Stars trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Grey Havens on top.

Knotwise told a Grey Havens Chronicle reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
