Bucklebury Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Bucklebury Fairies defeated the Mirkwood Sylvan, 9-8, at The Fairie Dome. Bucklebury right fielder Faramir Bridger had a superb performance. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Bucklebury reliever Smubguk Toothchewer picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Ruzpog Guvorar was saddled with the loss. The loss makes Mirkwood 21-44.

The decisive blow was delivered by Krurpug Gnomechewer in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Ruzpog Guvorar to win the game for Bucklebury. The home crowd went nuts.

"This game was intense," Gnomechewer said, postgame.
