Spirited fans greeted the Minas Ithil Wyrms for their clash with the Mirkwood Sylvan.

The 5-3 Mirkwood win over Minas Ithil was due in large part to DeForest *Hamrh. The Sylvan catcher was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. The win went to Peregrin Taralom in relief, making him now 1-0. Linda Grundy took the loss for Minas Ithil. Earning his 3rd save for Mirkwood was Ruzpog Guvorar.

Ruvyn Elamancha had a big 3-run home run for the Sylvan in the top of the first inning. With Mirkwood leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a cutter from Linda Grundy, who finished 4th in the SC in strikeouts with 226 last year, and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Sylvan on top, 4-0.

Mirkwood manager Tavmina Eemli praised his team's "energy."
