Xing Excels, But Giants Win
Neverland got a terrific game from first baseman Qian-hua Xing. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Andelain, 9-6. Xing was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Geoffrey Foa, the winner, goes to 3-1. He allowed 4 runs on 8 hits, with no walks and 6 strikeouts over 5 innings. With the loss, Neverland sinks to 10-6.

Early in the game, left fielder Foifur Lomymbor had a run-scoring double for Andelain. It was his 6th double of the season and put the Giants on top, 3-2.

Lomymbor told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
