Centaurs Win at Diagon Alley, 4-3
|
Xanth picked up a win at Ballpark of Diagon Alley, bumping off the Diagon Alley Wizards, 4-3. Pitcher Gurg Toemasher was a major reason the Centaurs emerged victorious. In 8 innings, Toemasher surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. With the win, the Centaurs have a record of 54-52.
Xanth used a well-timed hit by Loman Newcomer to capture the win. The catcher socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the first inning to put the Centaurs ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
