Maxim and Aispro Fight, Get Suspended Saturday, August 3rd , 2052 After an intense confrontation, both the Hops Thugmag Maxim and the Lumberjacks Perian Aispro were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Misty Mountain-Lothlorien game. Thugmag Maxim will miss 4 games, while Perian Aispro was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Thugmag Maxim commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Maxim is currently hitting at a .240 pace with 15 home runs, 47 RBIs and has scored 66 times. Up to now Aispro has compiled an ERA of 3.45 with a 5-7 mark over 24 starts. He has 133 strikeouts in 130.1 innings and has held opponents to a .222 batting average. |
