Dead Marshes Out of Playoff Race Sunday, September 22nd , 2052 A late-season playoff push is not in the cards for the Dead Marshes Uruk-hai. The club today was mathematically knocked out of playoff contention. "There are a lot of long faces around right now," said Uruk-hai manager Mikee the German. "You know in your head that every year, most teams in baseball have to go through this, but it still hurts when you realize you've lost your shot at a title." Dead Marshes last appeared in the postseason in 2048. This is their 4th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 35 times in their 50-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Uruk-hai have missed the playoffs 6 times. Dead Marshes last won the Return of the King Series in 2048. |
