*Puttifoot May's Best Bat Choice Tuesday, June 1st , 2049 Ferdinand *Puttifoot received the Shire Conference Batter of the Month trophy earlier today for his efforts at the plate this last month. "He might be getting older," Bywater's manager told reporters, "But he's been around long enough to know what it takes to put a stretch such as this together... and he doesn't keep that to himself. He's always talking to the younger guys in the clubhouse helping 'em any way they'll let him. Ferdinand's value to our team goes farther than the numbers he puts up on the field." To win the honor *Puttifoot put up a .370 batting average, 13 home runs, 32 RBIs and scored 25 times in May. Presently *Puttifoot is batting .314 with 21 home runs and 47 RBIs. He has played in 51 games and scored 38 times. |
