Thornravenys Takes Tumble Over Tarp Tuesday, June 1st , 2049 "I just need to pay closer attention to my surroundings," chuckled Kansuke Thornravenys of the Merry Fellows, after tripping over the automatic tarp at Shire Greens Stadium this afternoon. The tarp had been rolled out as the result of a brief rain shower during afternoon practice. Thornravenys raced out onto the field as the tarp was being rolled up and, after being momentarily distracted, stepped awkwardly on the edge of the mechanism. Having apparently twisted his ankle, Thornravenys immediately fell to the ground and writhed in pain for a few moments. "It looked pretty painful", said teammate Kalimac Loamsdown. Thornravenys was able to make light of the incident, despite the fact that it might cost him a game or two. "Hey, I'm lucky," Thornravenys said with a smirk. "Those things can be real death traps!" |
