Crossbowmen Advance to League Championships Monday, August 28th , 2051 The joy and relief on the faces of the Dale Crossbowmen players was obvious as they celebrated their Division Series win over the Cirdan Stars. "In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said Dale shortstop Smurbog Wemys, shortly after the 6-4 win that clinched the series 3-2. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done." The team is now off to the League Championships. Wemys won series MVP honors on the strength of his .438 batting average during the series. He also had a .526 on-base percentage and 3 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Dale Crossbowmen don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Angmar Assassins - Greenway Gold Rush series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The League Championships schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes. |
