Gold Rush Prevail, as League Championships Goes to the Wire Thursday, September 7th , 2051 Depending on your loyalties, the League Championships was either thrilling or heartbreaking. The series went down to its final game, with the Greenway Gold Rush and the Dale Crossbowmen giving their fans plenty of drama. In the end, the Gold Rush came out on top, winning 23-8 at Ballpark of Greenway today to take the series 4-3. "We're lucky to be going into the Triple A Championships," said Greenway pitcher Ester Shaurlanglar. "If all the series are like this, it'll definitely be an entertaining postseason." Shaurlanglar earned series MVP honors, hitting for a .522 average, with 4 home runs, 11 RBI and 9 runs scored. The Greenway Gold Rush will play against the Long Cleve Ages in the next round. Long Cleve won their series against the Pleasant Vale Stallions 4 games to 0. The Triple A Championships schedule will be announced after the League Championships finishes. |
