Carnicas Must Sit Out 4 Games Monday, May 24th , 2049 Romochka Carnicas's disrobing act in yesterday's loss to the WeMadeIt Crashlanders at Ramjets Ballpark cost him a 4-game suspension. The league office informed the Star Fleet Academy Cadets today that their shortstop would be suspended for "his poor conduct and unacceptable behavior that made a farce out of the game." After being called out on strikes, Carnicas was ejected by the home plate umpire after a heated and animated discussion. In protest for the ejection, he proceeded to throw his bat down, take off his batting gloves, cap, shirt, socks and shoes and left them at home plate, refusing to pick them up. Asked about the suspension, Carnicas sheepishly told reporters, "I did a stupid and embarrassing thing. Let's just leave it at that." For the year Carnicas is hitting .241 with 7 home runs. His stats include 17 RBI and 22 runs scored. |
