Gnomedragger, Ipyllasc Suspended for Fracas Wednesday, May 26th , 2049 After an intense confrontation, both the Munchkins Kurg Gnomedragger and the Lost Boys Asta Ipyllasc were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Land of Oz-Neverland game. Kurg Gnomedragger will miss 4 games, while Asta Ipyllasc was suspended for 8 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Kurg Gnomedragger commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Thus far this season Gnomedragger is hitting .205 with 4 home runs, 12 RBIs and 21 runs scored. He has 24 hits in 117 at-bats and has played in 36 games. For the season Ipyllasc has no saves, tossed 19.2 innings, fanned 22 batters and produced an ERA of 4.12. He has also been credited with no wins and 2 losses. |
