No Playoff Berth Coming for Cirith Ninniach Sunday, September 8th , 2052 It wasn't meant to be for the Cirith Ninniach 89ers this year. Despite a tough battle, they were eliminated from playoff contention today. "It is a bad feeling," said 89ers starting pitcher Kozg Gnomehammer. "Once you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. But you've gotta get in there first, and we weren't able to do that." This is the 5th time in a row that the 89ers have missed the playoffs.Their last playoff appearance was in 2047. |
