Kijmuta Goes on Rampage Against Gunslingers Saturday, March 25th , 2051 Minas Tirith HS Dark Siders first baseman Hob Kijmuta had a day to remember at California Grounds, ripping apart the Ethring HS Gunslingers and sparking the 8-1 Dark Siders win. Kijmuta wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Kijmuta told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Hob Kijmuta singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this season, Kijmuta has gotten 42 hits in 89 at-bats for a .472 batting average with 5 home runs. His stats include 15 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has played in 21 games. |
