Let this be a lesson to you, dear bloggers. Never offend the gods of blog. I learned, too late, that if you even THINK about quitting, you will be kharmically slapped upside your punkin’ head.
Apparently, because I dared to say that I was too tired to blog, the gods of blog sayeth: “Fine, beyotch! Guess you won’t be needing this cable modem, then! Oh, hell, let’s just zap your router while we’re at it. Bahahahaha!”
So, here I am, writing my 1000th blog entry from an undisclosed location that ain’t my house. Go me.
Hey, congrats on making it to 1,000!!!
Congratulations!!!
well shoot..
congrats on the 1,oooth!
but that really sucks about the cable modem n stuff…was it lightening?
has happened to me twice now…argh
Yeah. The last couple of days the storms have been naaaaasty.
I told you I’d put the whammy on you if you tried to quit 😛
*mwah*
You must have inherited my luck. You can keep it.
Congratulations!
And my condolences.
BWAHAHAHAHAaaaaa
you’re at the library again, aren’t you?
well, there’s no shame in it. at least you’re not slumming around some seedy “cyber cafe.”
(happy 1000th, Sol!)
Hey, at least yer bloggin’.
If you’re not at home, I know where you are… 🙂
Baseball!
Wow. 1,000. You sure talk a lot.
;p
Oh no
It sounds like you’re blogging from the Bat Cave. I hope your ‘net gets fixed soon.
Yo..
Our thoughts are with you.
Congrats on reaching 1000, that’s very cool. The cable modem & router dying though? That sucks. Hope it gets fixed soon!
I wondered where you had went. I hope you get fixed soon… hehe.
Doh! And congrats on 1,000! 😀
I swear I had nothing to do with it! 🙂
Sorry bout that, old chum. Life sucks, then you die. Or at least your cable modem does. 🙁
Dude!! The same thing happened to me last year, but Road Runner had me up and running again in a couple of days! *Bows to the Gods of Road Runner* Gotta luv em! 🙂
Don’t blame me (blogging god, that I am) for your own bad choices. DSL is the way of righteousness, but many shall be led astray along the path of cable modem hell.
well, i’ve learned a more complicated version of thumb twiddling whilst waiting for a Sol update. at least there’s a plus to all this silence.
man…router and all. that really bites.
So your cable modem and router fried
I thought I put my powers away. I wonder how they got loose. Happy 1000th anyway though.
Road Runner is stumped. The cable modem is working perfectly, and I have good cable signal into the house, but it won’t give me an IP address. They have a “maintenance issue” that they say should be fixed by August 7! Argh!
So, I’ll be blogging only at lunch from Grump’s house or after work at the library.
At least I’m not going to be billed from the time I first reported the problem.
Meanwhile, I have a new router to replace the zapped one and have replaced the network card that got fried in Venita’s PC. I love Florida. *grumble*
Up here where I come from, we recommend them new-fangled deeevices they call Surge Protectors… even on the Cat-5 and/or telephone lines….
hee hee hee
Sorry, buddy, this really sucks…
Of course, for those intent on a coup (who shall remain nameless), it could be good news. hmmmmmm must pontificate……… bwahahahahahahah
Ahhh, Internet karma… it’s always coming back to bite you in the shiney metal ass 🙂
Congrats on 1000 😀
floods, earthquakes, mitonchondrial bacteria, locusts, faulty RAM…
before i dive into my long list of technology woes, let me mention this: A Picture’s Worth–it’s a photo essay…
