I had several problems reasons excuses for not finishing NaNoWriMo last year. These included not signing up until Nov 1 and using an old plot that’s vexed me since 1985. But the main reason was that I got wrapped up in the machinations of the blogospheranetiverse. November last year was when I was in the height of goofing around with my new imaginary friends (not to mention the arrival of the Fellowship DVD set, MOHAA Spearhead expansion, Harry Potter, both my kids’ birthdays, Pepperkat’s birthday dinner, Thanksgiving….)
So, this year I’m turning off the blog for a month, and I’m limiting my surfing of other sites to once a week. Please, please, please, do not do anything important or fun for a month. Thanks.
That’s really a shame. I have a murderous rampage scheduled for the week of November 9th.
Well, I don’t plan on murderous rampages, but I had thought of revealing Amelia Earhart’s whereabouts on the anniversary of my birth next week. No big deal, though; I’ll hold off till December.
A month!? A month with no Solonor Goodness? That’s a bit harsh, don’t ya think? 😉
Maybe I should just take another hiatus until yours is done? 😉 Heck, a whole blogispherelandiverse hiatus. No one writes for a month… I might actually catch up on all my reads that way.
nothing exciting at bran’s house. nothing out of the ordinary there. but will be sort of shutting off for a month, too, as during last year’s nano i spent waaaaay too much time playing in blogland when i shoulda been writing toward word counts. bran didn’t win last year; bran does not intend to repeat last year this year. no, no.
bran understands Sol’s quandry. bran has also fallen into referring to herself in third person. freaky.
I’ll see you at Tolkien Baseball… 🙂
Good luck, bro! (And let me read the bloody thing!)
Oh fiiiiiine…I’ll just wilt away and pine for you. Pine for you, I say!!!
I wonder if he can make it 2 weeks without Blogging…. best of luck, chum!
And remember, you’re not the only one vexxed by the plot from 1985. I’m still trying to find out what I did, and how I did it! “Fireball”, dammit!
🙂
Serioulsy, I look forward to reading whatever it is you come up with. Have fun. We’ll be here.
*sniff*
**Tapping foot and checking watch**
Has a month gone by yet?…..
For a guy who isn’t posting on his blog, his RSS feed is still incredibly active, with all the commenting that is going on.
