Nondel Blasts Hops, Lumberjacks Take Game 4, 5-2

On the verge of being swept and facing a red-hot Misty Mountain Hops team, the Lothlorien Lumberjacks had a tough assignment. Myrthor Nondel delivered.

The Lumberjacks left fielder was unstoppable for the visitors, as he hit 2 home runs in guiding his club to its first victory of the series, 5-2. Nondel, 33, was named player of the game for his efforts. The win means Lothlorien now trails 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

One significant at-bat for Lothlorien came with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the third. Lumberjacks right fielder Aelieyeeva Iselinde hit a 2-run home run, which helped Lothlorien go on to win.

Nondel said the win provided a “big morale boost” for the team. “There’s a good feeling in the clubhouse right now.”
