Raucous Orthanc Stadium Crowd Propels Raiders to 8-2 Victory; Series Tied at 2

At 36, Edmund Boroden knows he may not have many playoff appearances left, so he was determined to make it memorable. Mission accomplished.

The Isengard Raiders reliever came in in relief and pitched to 19 batters to help his club get past the Old Forest Merry Fellows, 8-2, in Game 4 of the Return of the King Series at Orthanc Stadium today. Boroden took player of the game honors for his performance. With the win, Isengard moves into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.

Arwowyn Galindil, the Isengard third baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the first inning to make the score 2-0, Raiders. For the game, Galindil was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and was hit by a pitch.

“We played a good game and came out on top,” said Galindil.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Orthanc Stadium. The scheduled starters for the game are Vasanthi Brodrick for Old Forest and Grailas Limke for Isengard.
