Nunduil Jacks 3 into the Stands

Thursday, September 26th, 2041
Rivendell Royals left fielder Ullla Nunduil slugged three home runs against the Old Forest Merry Fellows at Royals Stadium, but couldn’t win the game all by himself. The Merry Fellows spoiled his day by defeating the Royals, 18-11.

“The loss puts a damper on the outstanding game Ullla had, but people will be buzzing about this for days to come,” Rivendell manager Marcos Easyheart. “That’s gotta be some consolation to him. But knowing Ullla, he would have preferred a win.”

For the game, Nunduil was 3-for-4 with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

“The first two I got all of them and it was no doubt they were gone,” Nunduil said later. “It seemed like the wind helped it a little on that last one. I just wish Mother Nature had helped us win the game, too.”

Ullla Nunduil struck out in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Wiseman the Incredible in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Eloni Ness in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Maik Cheno in the 8th.

Nunduil is hitting .238 this year with 38 home runs, 99 RBIs and 78 runs scored. He has 146 hits in 614 at-bats, 34 walks and a .278 on-base percentage. Nunduil has played in 154 games.

It was no different this year, as the Shire Conference bested the Mordor Conference by a score of 13-8, in a spirited contest played at Celebrant Field.

“It might be a little lower intensity than the regular season or playoffs, but everyone in that clubhouse still wants to win this game,” said Ginyc Maker of the Shire Conference, who was named the game MVP.

Archers End Argyll’s Streak

Tuesday, May 7th, 2041
Giacomino Argyll, second baseman for the Rivendell Royals, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 2 tries against the Lake Town Archers today. Not only did the Archers break his 20-game hitting streak, they also beat Rivendell by the score of 12-5.

“Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I’ll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat,” Argyll said, speaking with the media after the game. “It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it’s over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate.”

This season Argyll has banged out 48 hits in 139 at-bats for a .345 average with 1 home run. He is getting on base at a .366 pace and his totals also include 12 RBIs and 14 runs scored.

“Argyll was hitting everything we threw at him,” said Lake Town manager Borigal Bridger. “He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win.”

Rivendell-Discworld Trade: Goodrich for Waelvor

Wednesday, December 5th, 2040
According to BNN there were mixed emotions by the players involved in the trade between the Rivendell Royals and the Discworld City Watch. The players indicated it was good to get a fresh new start in another city, but it was difficult to leave your friends on the old team.
