Misty Mountain Dealt 4-3 Defeat
|
The Minas Morgul Slayers did just enough to sneak past the Misty Mountain Hops, 4-3, at Sylvan Cove. Minas Morgul pitcher Snuknogh Bugsmasher, in particular, had a standout performance. Bugsmasher picked up the win for Minas Morgul, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 5-4. Poto Sauter, credited with the save, is now 15 for 19 in save opportunities.
Minas Morgul catcher Fasur Ritschel helped the Slayers go up, 4-2, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Ritschel hit a 2-run single off Misty Mountain pitcher Miranda Mosseater.
"I liked his command," said Minas Morgul manager Mimosa Willow. "Snuknogh was throwing strikes."
With the win over Misty Mountain, the Slayers improved to 33-44.
