Lereno Hit Streak Over Thursday, April 20th , 2051 Longbottom second baseman Thodkub Lereno experienced something against the Helm's Deep Harriers he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game. The Harriers pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 20 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Belles to a 4-1 victory at Belles Ballpark. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 20-game hitting streak," Lereno joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories." This year, Lereno is hitting .403 with 7 home runs and 15 RBIs in 18 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .449 with 5 walks and 17 runs scored. |
