It's Over: Ponies Stop Ragot Sunday, April 23rd , 2051 Falas triumphed over Prairie Hill, but that was only one of the headlines from the game -- Falcons second baseman Mutara Ragot failed to get a hit in the 4-2 win, bringing his 20-game hitting streak to an abrupt end. "I carried the club a few times over the past couple weeks, but today they carried me," he told reporters in his postgame remarks. "No matter what else happens, it is always good to win a ballgame." This year, Ragot has collected a .440 batting average to date with 44 hits in 100 at-bats, 23 RBIs, 10 home runs and scored 25 times. He has played in 21 games. |
