Streak Finally Over, Reaves Held Hitless Tuesday, March 21st , 2051 Helms Deep JC right fielder Mili Reaves experienced something against the Tharbad JC Cavemen he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game. The Cavemen pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 23 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Gems to a 13-7 victory at California Grounds. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 23-game hitting streak," Reaves joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories." So far this season, Reaves has put up a .280 batting average with 23 hits, 5 home runs and 21 RBIs. |
