Hammermaker Stretches Hit String to 25 Saturday, April 15th , 2051 The hot bat of Landlubbers first baseman Thogburz Hammermaker continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 25 games after he went 1-for-2 in today's 5-3 loss to the Gems at California Grounds. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Thogburz Hammermaker singled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, walked in the 4th and flied out in the 7th. Hammermaker is currently batting .329 with 13 home runs and 42 RBIs. |
