The Old Forest Merry Fellows took the first game of the Fellowship Series in dramatic fashion, topping the Carrock Bears, 5-4, in an extra-inning walk-off win. Merry Fellows second baseman Burlug the Odiferous went 4-6 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With two out, the Odiferous hit a curveball from Haruki Shaban for a run-scoring single. The Merry Fellows, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
“This wasn’t a good win,” said the Odiferous. “It was a great win.”
