Tolkien Baseball fans were certainly not disappointed with this Mordor Conference Two Towers Series.
The two teams were evenly matched and the series went to the final game, with the Dol Guldur Dragons prevailing over the Dagorlad Disaster to advance to the Return of the King Series.
Dol Guldur won the final game by a score of 9-3 at Dol Guldur Stadium and that sealed the series 4-3.
“Things were tense in our clubhouse and dugout before and during this game, but we can let loose a bit now — the hard work is over, for now,” said second baseman Políbio the Seer, who earned MVP honors.
For the series, the Seer hit .360 with a .484 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, 2 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Dol Guldur Dragons will play against the Carrock Bears in the next round. Carrock won their series against the Rivendell Royals 4 games to 1. The Return of the King Series schedule will be announced after the Two Towers Series finishes.
