I won’t ruin it by giving you too many details, but if you’ve been to an AMC movie theater during the past couple of years, you’ve seen quite a few trailers for films that just never seem to get released in your area. (And for some reason, they always get spoiled by that jerk in the fourth row with a cell phone. God, I hate that.)
I saw one the other night that looks pretty promising. It’s called Pump Up The Movie, and it’s the story of a guy who quits the football team (alienating his family) in order to become a cheerleader. I’m a sucker for those kind of “overcoming obstacles in the face of adversity against all odds despite what everyone says and dreaming your own dreams even though they may not be what everyone expects but you really just need to go your own way” films. So, I really hope it does well.
