A woman is suing the producers of a new reality show in the works for the network for kidnapping her and forcing her to witness a staged murder by an alien. They apparently want “to broaden their audience beyond the ‘Star Trek’ crowd” by appealing to the drooling moron crowd.

Now that’s ridiculous. Then again, it IS SciFi, which passed on a new JMS show or two, to make way for a space vampires show.
Ah – Scare Tactics – the new reality show being hosted by Shannen Doherty. Someone please shoot me now. I’m happily watching the Battlestar Galactica marathon and I’m being assaulted by those hideous ads for the new show – a teenage girl in the backseat of a car on the phone with her dad, I think, and screaming her head off because they’re being chased, and she’s literally screaming and begging the driver to slow down…
That’s more than pitiful – that’s just sick.
I’d boycot sci fi, but not until after mid-March. I can’t wait to see “Children of Dune.” They did such a fantastic job with the “Dune” miniseries (blew the movie away!) that I can’t NOT watch it.
