Solonor’s Groovy Computer Baseball League has started its 2004 season, and if you haven’t been perusing the news page, you’ve been missing some pretty funny stuff. Instead of relying on me to make up silly stories about their teams, the team owners are writing their own. So far we’ve seen:
- Bran’s Lonely Mountain Losers moving to Buckland, changing their name to the Bucklebury Fairies, causing much unrest among the dwarves and orcs….especially with their new logo.
- A reward offered for information about a mysterious new member of the Old Forest Merry Fellows.
- The complete disintegration of Dagorlad’s team president.
- Puns galore… including Scott’s Misty Mountain Hops (nice, compared with the Bucklebury Fairies and the Bree Cheese) getting corporate sponsorship from The Gap of Rohan.
Not to mention regular team updates from the rest of our silly band of computer-baseball-mad Tolkien freaks and vicious taunting in the League Forum (led by our own silly English k-n-nigit, Kevin).
More fun than geeks should be allowed.
