I am officially resigning from both the “Union of Dippy Astro Geeks” and the “I Can Take It, I’m From Maine Club,” since my first thought at 4:15am was: “Who the hell set the alarm that early?”
My second thought was: “I should go watch the Leonids.” Hey, I used to get up every morning for months at a time and try to start a car, in the dark, in the snow, at 20-below-zero. How bad could this be?
My third thought was drowned out by snoring.
Wimp.
are you cold?…lol don’t worry, it will warm up later today.
More lazy than cold, but it’s official: I am no longer a Mainah.
Nice place you have here 😀
Just read your 50 questions… pretty funny 🙂
Speaking as another member of that masochistic organization of ICTI,IFM, I was actually wide awake at 5:30, which was mentioned as the best time to see the Leonids here in Massachusetts, but the soft, warm pillow-top on our new mattress was holding me down against my will.
That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.
The response, Mr.Solonor, is that you can’t HACK it! 🙂
Well I got up at 5:30 and went outside in the 20 degree darkness. Wimps!
I have to say it was the second coolest thing I have ever seen in my life. The first was last year’s Leonid showers. Dude, you missed out on an amazing show.
I admit it I am still a Mainah…AND a masochist…. I was up at 4 am watching the stahs…dang it was cold…..there was a few pretty ones…but I won’t do it again in this lifetime…considering the next one isn’t scheduled till 2099….I think I am safe…But the real question is…. Will Ooshka’s tail survive???
