Riddle me this, Batman…
Should I be more worried about putting a comma in the wrong place in a comment left someplace I can’t edit it or worrying about worrying about putting a comma in the wrong place in a comment left someplace I can’t edit it? Or about where the commas should or should not go in the above sentence (edited at least twice in the last 20 seconds)? Or for starting a sentence with “or”?
I need help.
throw out all punctionation and capitialization and anything else that worries you its like creating your own style
Ack! No way! I even use proper capitalization when I’m in an IM chat. Ask anyone. It’s annoying as hell.
I do that too. But I’m not sure anyone who reads even cares. 😉

I, myself, also love the use of, but not overuse of, commas, as I feel they add to, rather than detract from, my visitors’ enjoyment of my writing.
Ouch! Just reading that hurts. I try to pay attention to punctuation, for the most part. But if it’s wrong and I can’t edit, ah well.
You need help?
Sorry, bud, but we’re not touching that line…
I use proper grammar in IM chat too! I thought I was the only one that did that. If I’m talking and say something wrong I usually correct myself and tell myself what rule I broke. I’m just that neurotic! I try to refrain from correcting other people though. I’ve been told it’s a tad annoying. 🙂
Geekman, are you William Shatner IRL?
Chocolate frogs come from Hogwarts though.
I…
am NOT…
William Shatner in…
…
Real life!
So, you just pretend to be him online then? That’s sick!

Unfortunately, dear, my comments don’t like it. 🙂
No, they sure don’t like that.
I try to write (and speak) properly as often as possible. I do agonize over it when I can’t edit a comment though.
I also have learned not to try to correct people overtly in IM or comments. There are more subtle methods of trying to make my point. Such as using the misspelled word in a comment. Repeatedly. 😉
