Well that sucked.
I spent all fricking day working on a song, only to find out that I’m having one of those “bad voice” days. That’s when it doesn’t matter what I try to sing, I can’t stand the sound of my own voice. It’s worse since I got the condenser mic, because every tiny mistake is amplified.
Oh well. I’ll take comfort in good food and friends tonight. The Blogless One™ and I are meeting Kat, Geekman, Cableman and his wife (who is not only blogless but decidedly un-geeky) for dinner and maybe some Bad Ass.
Oh, and I did write a robot song for Kat.
Boris was a robot in the middle of his life
Suzie was another that he hoped to make his wife
But Boris never told her everything he had to say
Now Boris sits alone and drinks martinis every day
Suzie met a cash machine she thought would bring her fame
She thought she was a singer who could really make a name
But Suzie had a voicebox that could bring a man to tears
Now Suzie’s dreams are shattered ‘cuz she sounds like Britney Spears
Robots never cry
They have their hopes and dreams like you and I
They look up and they want to touch the sky
And sometimes life just pokes them in the eye
But robots never cry
Robots never cry
Martin was a robot who had dreamed of seeing Mars
He struggled in Detroit all day just putting doors on cars
Every day he told himself that he was gonna run
But they shut down the factory and now his life is done
Robots never cry
They have their hopes and dreams like you and I
They look up and they want to touch the sky
And sometimes life just pokes them in the eye
But robots never cry
Robots never cry
Robots never ever cry
Robots never cry
Robots never cry
Robots never cry
Today is Blogger love in day and I love you for being the best blog daddy in the whole wide world. **mwah**
I’m hoping that the Robot Song will be available for download soon!
Well, someone has to say it…
