Back in February, I whipped up a little blog based on a post from Michele called What’s Not To Like? It contains a separate post for every state and territory in the good old U.S.A.
But it wasn’t designed to be an silly flag-waving exercise. Within the comments of each state’s page, the readers were asked to write a line or two about what makes America a cool place to live. Not “America” in the abstract, but America in reality. Your favorite hot dog stand. The natural beauty in your back yard. Museums. Sports teams. National parks. Music. Whatever makes the place you live special.
And comment they did. 353 comments at last count.
So, if you missed it last time, here it is for Independence Day. Go over and share your thoughts. America: What’s not to like?
Happy 4th, Sol!!
Happy 4th! 🙂
Happy 4th 🙂
Happy 4th of July, Sol!
thanks for sharing the link. i missed it the first time round and have really enjoyed reading through about my fave states. happy fourth!
That “America: What’s not to like?” is cool!
I think it would also give the world a better idea about Americans other than the stereotypes they hear. It shows *why* this country rocks.
However, me stoopid. I can’t figure out how to post a comment in Pennsyvania about the Poconos.
(It’s a nice comment, I swear…)
Have a happy 4th, dood.
That’s because I am a moron and forgot that comments were closed. It’s all better now. Duh.
