Jeanne still blows

We’re still getting wind and rain from this stupid storm. Just when you think it’s finally over, here comes a 60 mph wind gust.

Our power has been off and on all day. Just off enough to make it annoying to watch TV, but not on enough to keep the PC running. Overall, other than the big tree falling down from Charley, this one did more damage than any of the three (we lost the rest of the fence and a few shingles), but we didn

I’m glad to hear you are ok but sorry about yur fence. That sucks. We’re still getting wind and some rain here too off and on. Kept power all day except for that short span of time this morning.

We lost soo many shingles — la Husband is just IYCHING to clamber up on the roof and start pulling down the torn ones and nailing on new ones…the side yard is practically paved with them…lots of tree branches. Haven’t checked out the backyard yet — STILL blowing in mighty gusts here as the backside of Jeanne rolls around.

Of course, the dog only had to go out when it was blowing and raining the hardest. And she’d only go if I went and stood in the yard with her. Damn dog.

There’s still thumping on the roof from torn shingles, but no leaks we can find (until we get into the attics) and we didn’t lose power for more than flashes — we played City of Heroes most of the day, geeks that we are.

Glad you all survived another hurricane! You’d think those storms would want to see some other part of the country and leave you guys alone sooner or later!

I just updated Shutterblog from dialup — we have no power and no ETA of getting it (3-5 days perhaps). Glad to hear everyone is ok, at least physically, on your end!

glad to see you didn’t blow away while i was on vacation. lets hope that’s the last one for a loooong time.

I sure hope this is it … and the remaining what 64 days of the season yield nothing more than gentle ocean breezes.

We’re o.k. too and we have power again. Cleanup sucks. Big branches and shingles galore. Had a huge tree fall two houses from mine and blocked the road but thanks to the fact that everyone in Florida owns a chainsaw, it’s cleared to the point where we can drive through. New Mexico is sounding better and better all the time.

We had our downstairs flood. Luckily, only one room down there has carpeting. Ugh. It’s coming in from where the block wall meets the foundation. Fug.
