Movie Time

Well, it’s been a while, but I finally got back to putting up another Oscar Do-Over poll. Go to Solonor’s Oscar Do-Overs 1953 and vote for your favorite. Then, check out all the others and tell me what you think.

Hard year — I’d actually go with Roman Holiday, with Stalag 17 just a smidge behind it. From Here to Eternity is a fine film, as is Julius Caesar, but the first two are, for me, amazing films.

ok, next time you’ll have to pick a year i can actually participate in. 1953? i wasn’t even born until almost 30 years later!

I’m working on it! I’ve got 1927-1953 done…it’ll take me a little bit to get to the 80’s. Besides, you get AMC and TCM don’tcha? 🙂

Yeaaahh.. but I don’t ever watch them. I’m an HBO girl 🙂 I am somewhat cultured tho.. I’m taking a movie class this semester.. we’ve watched a bunch of movies from 1918 on up. Unfortunately, we haven’t gotten to the 1950s yet 🙂

Stalag 17. Not only a great movie but William Holden’s best, if you ask me. I’ll take that one. I’ve been wanting to see Wages of Fear, though.
