And they wonder why no one trusts the news anymore… Yahoo! News – Andy Kaufman Returns After 20 Years
Oy. Vey.
Look, matey. ‘E’s not pinin’! ‘E’s passed on! This parrot is no more! He has ceased to be! ‘E’s expired and gone to meet ‘is maker! ‘E’s a stiff! Bereft of life, ‘e rests in peace! If you hadn’t nailed ‘im to the perch ‘e’d be pushing up the daisies! ‘Is metabolic processes are now ‘istory! ‘E’s off the twig! ‘E’s kicked the bucket, ‘e’s shuffled off ‘is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin’ choir invisibile!! THIS IS AN EX-PARROT!!
You mean…you mean, it’s not true?
Great minds think alike. Or is it fools seldom differ?
Andy returns. on Blogspot. priceless.
this sort of news gives me pure joy.
Oy vey…what people will believe.
Are we now going to spend the rest of our lives saying that Andy Kaufman is still dead?
The “Dead Parrot” skit is brilliant and should be in the Skit Hall of Fame right next to “Who’s on First”.
It certainly will be much easier to say (and type) Andy Kaufman is still dead, as opposed to General Fransicowhatmacallit, funny as that bit was….
It never ceases to amaze me what people will believe!! :op
Hey, when are we going to get some rain in Orlando?? 91 degrees today! *blech*
I wasn’t trying to paint people as gullible. My oy veying was both for Yahoo “News” for their journalistic integrity and the goofball that made up the Kaufman blog.
I know he (Kaufman) would probably have done something like this if he could. But I doubt seriously that he’d hide behind a Blogspot account and a shifting story. More likely, he’d book a guest shot for Tony Clifton on SNL or just walk into the middle of The Factor and plant a sloppy kiss on O’Reilly.
Standing here as a guy that at one stage believed that story… I hang my head. In shame.
*mental note*: Check things on Snopes first.
I think Andy Kaufman has/had the bad taste to pull off something like this. Until I see some hard proof, though, you can count me as a non-believer.
