With a bullet!

I’ve seen sites like this before (maybe even this one), but it’s fun to look up the #1 song on this date in history – especially when you can choose the date. Plus, this will take you to a clip of the song when you click on them (assuming you actually want to hear it).

My birthday: “I Can’t Stop Loving You” by Ray Charles
My wife’s birthday: “Chapel of Love” by The Dixie Cups
My graduation: “Funkytown” by Lipps, Inc.
Our wedding: “Live to Tell” by Madonna
Whiny the Elder’s birthday: “Amanda” by Boston
Pepperkat’s birthday: “Blame It on the Rain” by Milli Vanilli

Did you get married on June 1, 1986? That’s El Jay’s birthday too.

I got a good one for my birthday: “Goodnight Irene,” by the Weavers (Pete Seeger et. al.)

  3. Ric The Schmuck says:

My birthday: “Easier Said than Done” by The Essex
Wifes Bday: “Leader of the Pack” by The Shangri-Las
Graduation: “Bette Davis Eyes” by Kim Carnes
Wedding: “Hangin’ Tough” by New Kids on the Block
Jacobs bday: “Bump N’ Grind” by R. Kelly
Andrew’s: “Hypnotize” by The Notorious B.I.G.

Fun stuff. Scary, too, as I have no idea what the songs on my kids birthdays sound like…

    My birthday
1964 … “Can’t Buy Me Love” by The Beatles
    Cool

    My wife’s birthday
1964 … “I Get Around” by The Beach Boys
(It’s too easy to insert a joke here)

    My graduation
1982 … “Ebony and Ivory” by Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder
At least it’s not “That Girl is Mine”

    Our wedding
1990 … “Vision of Love” by Mariah Carey
    Gack!

Since quality pop music ceased to exist somewhere in the 90
