Here’s a nifty little “feature” of Internet Explorer: It kindly pops up any old file a web designer decides to code. For example, take a look at Notepad pop-ups. (If you have anything other than IE, the effect won’t be as dramatic.)

Dagnabbit! I had forgotten all about that little feature/bug! Thanks for reminding me, now I need to remember what my idea was for world domination through Notepad popups.
I think it had something to do with ASCII porn…
That’s (one of the many reasons) why I’ve started using Mozilla…
I haven’t run across that before. As if normal pop-ups weren’t bad enough!
I really gotta start looking at other browsers…
The only reason I still use IE at all is because of ieSpell. As soon as I can find a Mozilla/Firebird equivalent I’m dropping IE like a hot potato. I’ve already switched to using Thunderbird for my email just for the built-in SPAM filtering alone.
Except that my frickin’ site looks fine in IE, and it used to in Mozilla. But since the 1.3 upgrade, the center content overwrites the top nav bar. *grumble*
Yay! I fixed it in Mozilla. Hold me back…
