What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland
“You have a Midland accent” is just another way of saying “you don’t have an accent.” You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio. |

It decided I was from the Northeast, most likely New York.
I’m actually British 🙂
Yeah, I’m “Midland,” too.
It knew I was from Boston (and/or Maine)…but I don’t say “pahk the cah” or “wikkid retahded”!
I’m from Maine, (you know, where Solly is from and should be) and I say “whicked” all the time.
Yet the quiz still says I’m Midland.
Guess I learned to talk good somewhere along the line, huh? ‘Tarded or not.
Well, it pegged me as a Northeasterner, so it got that right. It’s pretty obvious to most Americans that I’m from New York.
Midland here, too. It’s that Florida thing and the mixed influences in early years, don’tcha know?
what a retarded test. it tells me i’m from Boston. i’ve never even been to Boston – i grew up in Utah, and i sound like it, try as i might to eradicate “Country Mormon” from my diction. man. dumbest meme quiz *ever*
It pegged me as inland north…said I probably even say “pop”. OK…so I used to say pop until the first day I lived in Florida. Never again!
Imagine that…they asked if Don and Dawn sound the same. Was this quiz totally written for me? 🙂
i’m Midland, but i scored highest on Philly accent, with South being #3, which makes me feel good. even after living in the south for over 10 years, i still don’t have a southern accent – yay!
This was the response from my quiz:
Judging by how you talk you are probably from north Jersey, New York City, Connecticut or Rhode Island. Chances are, if you are from New York City (and not those other places) people would probably be able to tell if they actually heard you speak.
Funny thing is, folks usually can NOT tell where I’m from, as my accent isn’t too pronounced…
