Laugh!
I should put up a site for the Wandering Haggis, the Celtic-pagan folk group I was in, back in the late 80’s.
Yes, you should!
A fair number of my friends from high school (Auburn’s Edward Little H.S., Class of ’81) went to UMO in the early-to-mid 1980s. I’ll have to see if any of them ever saw/heard/knew about you.
We played the Bear’s Den a couple of times (both old and new versions of the band). That was always fun. Plus, we played at least one frat party up there. Can’t remember if that was Revolver I or II, though.
Ahhh….I miss those fuzzy, blurry nights at the downunder….
Frat party was Revolver I, thank you very much!
(the one time we played Won’t Get Fooled Again in public, methinks!) Plus, we played Barstans a couple of times, and the Time-Out (when the power went out on us mid-set) so we were up around Orono as much as anywhere. They would probably remember Jim’s “other” band more, of course, Just The Facts. We seemed to chase them around the area.
Hopefully I’ll get off my former-drum playing buttocks very shortly. Windows ME sucks, period.
I’ll hook up the scanner to my son’s machine (my old machine, Windows 98 thank you very much) and start recreating the awful truth, digitally… I am scared! But, our public awaits……………………………………………………. sheesh.
