I sat up until 2:30am last night just exploring the features! (Wouldn’t have been so bad, if I didn’t have to be up at 5…) It’s got just about every Boss guitar pedal invented included in the thing, plus simulators to make the guitar sound like 5 different styles of bass and 3 or 4 accoustic guitars, a guitar synth, bass amp modeling, a slew of vocal effects, 64 virtual tracks (8 you can play at once, plus the rhythm track), EQ for every track, effects sends pre and post for every track… And the drum machine… wicked cool. Not the electronic, tin box kind that I remember! There’s hundreds of preset drum loops and arrangements, plus you have drum pads to do your own. It’s got USB, so you can export to the PC and import wav files to tracks. You can assign wav’s to drum pads.
It took me all night to go through all the settings just to get a sample of each guitar effect and rhythm track! But then I sat down this morning and did bass, rhythm and 2 lead guitar tracks for “Hurricane” in about 40 minutes. Why didn’t I think to sell that guitar sooner?
Apple is releasing software this Friday that does similar things with a Mac. It even has the simulated guitar amps. John Mayer demonstrated it in the announcement, which sounded great.
You are So fickle! 😉 Have fun playing with the new toy.
That is sweet.
Hey, don’t forget about baseball!
I am so jealous. Put that bad boy to work, you!
OH. MY. GOD.

My god, that thing has got so many buttons. I swear, anything that has that many buttons is sure to be a hit with the ladies.
Oh yeah, and by the way
“Hey, Nice Blog.”
I did a bad thing. I put my zip code into the “find a dealer” box, and the thing is available within a mile of my house.
Must. Not. Do. That.
Found one on eBay
🙂
