Even cynical old me, who really doesn’t care about gay marriage (even though I’m gay, it’s just not my thing) is pretty excited about this whole thing. They mayor kept city hall open all weekend and hundreds of people are volunteering their time as security guards, clerks, etc. to make this all happen even though it’s a holiday weekend and usually the building would be closed. They’re trying to get as many folks married as want to, so that when the fundies file their lawsuit on Tuesday everyone will have already tied the knot. Great valentines event!
